chris-brownI’m Chris Brown and I’ve got some 30 years under my belt as a Manager of credit risk, inventory finance and retail finance in the Recreational Products Industry.

I’ve always reached out beyond the title and “job description” taking on additional responsibilities and searching out new ways to add income to the bottom line. Having to stretch, to push the barriers, finding new ways of enhancing profitability has always been challenging and satisfying for me.

I developed the first joint venture Inventory Finance Company in the industry and the first Consumer Retail Finance loan and lease origination system for in-house use by the dealer body.

I’m very good at maximizing profitability – just ask around.

And I love my work!

One of the most satisfying aspects of my work is teaching and mentoring dealers on the effective use of retail finance, helping them with business planning, providing counselling on problems and issues that impact profitability and yes, taking the “bogey man” out of Wholesale finance.

My business philosophy has always been that a strong, profitable relationship between a dealer and a manufacturer is wholly dependent on a deal being equally beneficial for both parties.

I have invested much of my time digging deep and finding the “magic nuggets” that make a dealership profitable along with the art of making critical and timely changes to maintain that profitability.

As a golf enthusiast all my life I’ve learned a lot about what you need to do in business to be successful.  Just like playing golf you need to be focused, patient, willing to take a risk to score well and be humble enough (and smart enough) to search out a “pro” when you are having difficulties with part of your game.
